After lunch we did a little shopping.

After dinner in Abu Gosh and a quick stop to freshen up, we arrived at Ben-Gurion airport for our flight home.

We left the Old City-for today- and headed towards Yad Vashem, the Holocaust Memorial, with a quick stop at the Israel Museum and the Jerusalem model.

Our last stop of the day was the Holocaust Memorial-Yad Vashem. Photography is strictly controlled here so I was only able to get a couple of shots.

That’s it for today. Tomorrow we’ll head for the area near the Ela Valley and Bet Govrin bell caves for some rappelling then back to the Old City for a tour of David’s City.

Continuing our tour through the Jezreel Valley, we stopped at Har Megiddo. This National Park is also known as Tel Megiddo and is a very interesting slice of history.

A little west of Megiddo is Mt. Carmel where we made a brief stop before continuing on to Jerusalem.

After our boat ride we headed around the lake to the Mount of Beatitudes.

Our next stop was back at the Yigal Allon Center for a look at the first-century boat and a quick lunch.

Then it was time to head for Sahne. We did stop for a kosher lunch in Bet She’an first.

It’s only a few minutes drive from Bet She’an to Sahne and within minutes we were on our way to the water.

Sahne is a very, very popular place for Israeli’s to spend a day swimming and picnicing and we had a lot of fun joining in. Needless to say it was crowded.

Because we made a brief stop in Tiberius on way way back, I was able to get a shot of the kibbutz where we are staying, from across the Galilee. Those are the Golan Hieghts in the background.

Tomorrow is a full day with a boat trip on the Galilee, a visit to Capharnaum and the Mount of Beatitudes, and other stops.

After our brief stop we continued through the desert past Masada to Ein Gedi springs where we hiked up for a swim in the springs.

After our swim we returned to the bus for a short drive to Qumran, where the Dead Sea scrolls were found.

We had some time for a little shopping before continuing north to the Sea of Galilee.
